Does TikTok Show Who Viewed Your Profile?

Sometimes, TikTok can show profile visits through Profile view history. It only shows visits from accounts that also have the feature turned on and visited within the past 30 days. If you visit someone whose setting is on while yours is on, they can see your visit too.

This is a reciprocal privacy setting, not a complete list of everyone who opened a profile. TikTok says the feature is available to people who are at least 16 and have fewer than 5,000 followers.

How does TikTok profile view history work?

It shows some profile visits when both accounts have Profile view history turned on. TikTok says you can see accounts that viewed your profile in the past 30 days, but only when those accounts also have the feature enabled.

The setting works both ways. If you view another account and both of you have it turned on, that person can see your visit. TikTok says the setting is off by default.

Your setting	Other account setting	What the feature shows
On	On	Eligible visits from the past 30 days can appear to both accounts
Off	On or off	You do not see profile visits, and others do not see your visit through this feature
On	Off	The other account is not included in your profile view history

For TikTok’s current details, read the official Profile view history guide.

Who can see that you viewed their TikTok profile?

A person can see your visit through this feature if both of you have Profile view history turned on. TikTok also limits the feature to visits in the past 30 days and accounts that meet its access requirements.

That means the list is not a reliable record of every visitor. Someone may not appear because the feature is off for their account, their visit falls outside the time window, or they cannot access the feature.

Who is eligible for TikTok profile view history?

TikTok says you must be 16 or older and have fewer than 5,000 followers. The feature may not be available if your account does not meet these conditions.

These are TikTok’s stated requirements for Profile view history, not a requirement for using TikTok. If you meet them but cannot find the control, check TikTok’s Help Center for current availability and steps.

How do you turn off profile views on TikTok?

Turn off Profile view history under Privacy in Settings and privacy. TikTok says turning it off means you will not see who viewed your profile, and others will not see that you viewed theirs through this feature.

1. Open TikTok and tap Profile.
2. Tap the Menu button, then choose Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Privacy, then Profile views.
4. Switch Profile view history off.

You can turn the feature on again from the same screen. Menu labels can change as TikTok updates the app, so follow the current Help Center instructions if yours look different.

What does TikTok profile view history not show?

It does not show every person who has opened your profile. It covers eligible accounts with the feature turned on and visits within TikTok’s stated 30 day window.

Profile views are also different from views on a video. This setting concerns visits to your profile, not a list of everyone who watched a particular post. For another TikTok settings question, see our guide to TikTok comments and privacy controls. You can also browse TikTok services.
